Ágnes Siller-Zsiborás

Roles and responsibilities
As the founder and CEO of Albion Languages, Alistair has lived and breathed every second of the company’s upward development over the last 20+ years. He is actively involved in strategic matters, solution design, business development and looking after the company’s loyal clientele.

About Alistair
Away from the world of translation, Alistair mostly spends his free time in family fun, at concerts and plays, exploring around Europe and out and about on two wheels.

Roles and responsibilities
Present in the company from day one, as CEO/CFO, Peter is responsible for keeping finances ship shape at Albion Languages. He looks after bids and quotations, keeping one eye on vendor finances and the other on sales and revenue. He’s also involved in business development and HR.

Education
Having entered the job market earlier than planned, Peter picked up his ‘higher education’ on the job. Less fond of diplomas or degrees, university isn’t his thing. He has accumulated enough snippets of knowledge though over the past 20+ years to give him a steady hand when needed.
About Peter
Alongside his interest in the translation business, Peter runs a small publishing house focused on French literature and artists books. Reading, films and the arts take up the majority of his free time, while he’s also open to exploring and understanding social tendencies old and new with an interest in human rights.

Roles and responsibilities
As the Production Manager at Albion, Piroska is responsible for:
- overall coordination and organisation of the project management team’s work
- handling professional and technical issues, and production needs
- identifying problems and discussing them with company management
- organising and holding weekly group meetings
- supporting the work of our project managers, Supplier Relations Manager, the Linguistic Team Lead, and CFO
- ensuring efficient production
- conformity of processes and workflows with ISO 17100 requirements

About Piroska
Helping others is her passion at work, whether it is a translation need from a client, a tough situation faced by a team member or a technical problem for external linguists. She likes solving difficult situations, looking for multiple solutions for client requests and leading her team to achieve the same. Maintaining the mental health of both her team and those in it is her number one priority as a leader. In her free time, she learns American and Hungarian sign language or instruction design, does hairdressing for her family and friends or hikes all over Hungary.

Roles and responsibilities
As the Linguistic Team Lead, Ágnes is responsible for managing the linguistic team’s workflows, helping the PM team with coordinating Hungarian projects, as well as supporting and motivating the linguists in her team. She also does linguist work herself, completing translation, revision and quality assurance tasks on a daily basis.

Education
She spent 5 years at the University of Szeged, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in German Language and Literature with Secondary School Teaching Qualification. As regards English, she passed CELS Higher a couple of years after completing her university studies. She also studied Spanish for a number of years, enabling her to reach intermediate level.
About Ágnes
She has always been passionate about her mother tongue and foreign languages and, to her greatest satisfaction, her job offers opportunities on a daily basis to live out and develop this passion. She enjoys creating high-quality texts, analysing grammatical, terminology and stylistic issues and improving her vocabulary and content knowledge in a range of topics. As the team leader, she is appreciative of her team members. She likes the fact that they support and motivate each other in their daily work, with all of them happy to share their experience and ideas. She feels very fortunate to be able to work with such excellent linguists and people.
