Communicate differently! Make your websites multilingual so you can send tailored messages to your clients!
By definition, website localisation involves the translation and localisation of content, images, icons and formats into the target language and culture.
But what does this mean exactly? We can help you to make visitors who view your website in another language feel that you are talking specifically to them. You address them in their mother tongue, think of them, take them into account and so it is important to you to make their browsing convenient and help them easily find all the necessary information.
Complete website localisation solution
As a supplementary service, our translation agency offers a comprehensive solution for the translation and localisation of web content, whether it be text, images, multimedia content, online help, audio material, graphics or even animation. We also undertake the full testing and troubleshooting of localised websites. During the process, the following are tested:
- performance of the website,
- functioning of links,
- character coding,
- functioning of the website on various operating systems and browsers.
- Our translators have gained experience through the translation of many thousands of websites in the most varied fields.
- With the help of translation memories and terminology databases, we ensure the consistency of the website and reduce translation and update costs.
- We use a comprehensive quality assurance programme to test the language, technology, graphics, animation, audio and video content and content development.
Taking local specifics into account
Sensitive and accurate translation of all content into the local language and variant (e.g. US English, Canadian French, etc.) and the necessary changes of many site components are crucial. These include time, date and currency formats which differ by country, addition of contact telephone numbers and addresses of the local in-country distributors, elimination of culturally inappropriate icons and images, and the addition of new links to content in the appropriate language. We handle all these for you.
What languages is it worth translating into?
The target language depends on individual needs and the target markets. Clients should always be aware of the languages and language variants used in the target markets, so, if necessary, we can make suggestions for the selection of appropriate target languages in the preparation of the projects or the preliminary needs survey.

Localisation testing in detail
Localisation isn’t simply identical to translation. The final website is tested in the localised environment, the individual screens, menus, diagrams and figures are all checked and all system and error messages and links are displayed to ensure that the user interface, diagrams and help content are correct and that they display properly in the localised language. The usability testing is performed jointly by a localisation developer and a target language native professional. The testers record the results on a testing sheet, which can be made available to clients on request.
